Wilsonart® Classic Flooring with Tap-N-Lock™ Technology Limited Warranty - Residential
Effective June 15, 2002, Wilsonart International, Inc.
(Wilsonart) warrants to the original homeowner that for a period of
twenty (20) years from the date of sale to the original homeowner, the
Classic laminate flooring shall, under normal use and service for residential
flooring applications:
- Not have visible wear through the decorative print,
- Not fade due to exposure to sun or electrical light,
- Not stain due to items listed in our care and maintenance
guide, and
- Will resist water damage from topical spills
Gloss reduction is not surface wear. Resists water damage
means that the Wilsonart® planks or tiles will not swell, delaminate
or peak at the seams provided water is promptly removed and the floor
is allowed to dry.
For best results, your Wilsonart® product should
be installed by a Wilsonart® authorized installer who has been trained
by Wilsonart. If the product has not been installed by a Wilsonart®
authorized installer, and the product does not perform as warranted,
Wilsonart agrees to provide material for one (1) repair or replacement
of all or any part of the installation at Wilsonart’s discretion,
and labor costs will not be covered. If the product is professionally
installed by an authorized installer, for the first year from the date
of installation, Wilsonart will pay the reasonable labor and material
to repair the non-conforming area or replace the floor at Wilsonart’s
discretion. After the first year, this warranty will be pro-rated on
the basis of a twenty (20) year life expectancy. For the balance of
the warranty period, if a valid claim is made after the first year,
but prior to the completion of the twentieth (20th) year, Wilsonart
will pay a percentage of the reasonable material and labor costs for
repair. This percentage will be based on the number of years from the
date of the original installation up to the twentieth (20th) year. For
example, if the claim is made in the tenth year, Wilsonart will pay
fifty percent (50%) of the reasonable material and labor costs of repair.
If the original design is no longer available, Wilsonart will replace
the floor with another design of equal value during the first year and
a prorated portion of the costs of replacement from that point on, up
through the twentieth (20th) year, in the same manner as described above.
This warranty shall not apply to damage arising from any of the following:
- Accidents, abuse or misuse
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Failure to install or use this product in accordance
with Wilsonart Flooring Installation instructions
- Improper maintenance
- Improper adhesive
- Flooding, either by natural cause, or plumbing failures
- Trapped water underneath the Wilsonart floor arising
out of or in connection with any condition of the sub-floor
- Installation of product with visible manufacturing
defects
Further, this warranty shall be void and of no further
force or effect if any of the following events occurs:
- The product is removed from the original
place of installation
- Sale of the home where the product was originally installed
- Unauthorized repairs to the product
NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE,
INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER
NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WILSONART FLOORING BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR
DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT,
OR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
No fabricator, installer, dealer, agent or employee
of Wilsonart Flooring, has the authority to increase or alter the obligations
or limitations of this warranty.
This warranty gives you specific rights. You may have
other rights under state law. Your rights and limitations described
above may vary from state to state. Thus, it is important to retain
this warranty information.
Wilsonart Flooring DuoLink®Limited
Residential Warranty
Effective September 1, 2001, Wilsonart International,
Inc. warrants for a period of fifteen (15) years that its DuoLink laminate
flooring shall, under normal use and service for residential applications:
· Not have visible wear through the decorative
print surface
· Not fade due to exposure to indirect sunlight or electrical
light,
· Not stain due to items listed in our care and maintenance guide
· Will resist water damage from topical spills or leaks from
household appliances
Gloss reduction is not surface wear. Resists water damage
means that the DuoLink planks will not swell, delaminate or peak at
the seams provided water is promptly removed and the floor is allowed
to dry.
If the product has not been installed by a Wilsonart®
authorized installer, and the product does not perform as warranted,
Wilsonart International, Inc. agrees to provide material for one (1)
repair or replacement of all or any part of the installation at Wilsonart
International, Inc.'s discretion, and labor costs will not be covered.
After the first year from the date of your installation, Wilsonart will
cover reasonable material repair costs prorated based on the number
of years from the date of the original installation. If the product
is professionally installed by a Wilsonart® authorized installer,
for the first year from the date of installation of the product, Wilsonart
International, Inc. will pay the reasonable costs of labor and material
to repair the non-conforming area or replace the floor at Wilsonart
International, Inc.'s discretion. For the balance of the warranty period,
Wilsonart International, Inc. will pay the reasonable material and labor
costs for repair based on the number of years from the date of the original
installation. If the original design is no longer available, Wilsonart
International, Inc. will replace the affected floor materials with another
design of equal value. The above remedy is the customer's sole and exclusive
remedy under this warranty. This warranty shall not apply to damage
arising from any of the following:
· Accidents, abuse or misuse
· Exposure to extreme temperatures
· Failure to install or use this product in accordance with Wilsonart
Flooring Installation instructions
· Improper maintenance
· Improper adhesive (if used)
· Flooding, either by natural cause, or plumbing failures
· Trapped water underneath the Wilsonart floor arising out of
or in connection with any condition of the sub-floor
· Installation of product with visible manufacturing defects.
Any manufacturing defect must be reported prior to product installation
or, under any circumstance, no later than six (6) months after the date
of purchase to be covered under the warranty.
NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE,
INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER
NO CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WILSONART INTERNATIONAL, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY
LOSS OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS
PRODUCT, OR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
Wilsonart International, Inc. excludes and will not
pay incidental or consequential damages, cost or expenses whether arising
under this warranty, in contract, negligence or otherwise. By this,
we mean any loss, expense or damages other than the flooring itself
that may result from a defect in the flooring.
No fabricator, installer, dealer, agent or employee
of Wilsonart International, Inc., has the authority to increase or alter
the obligations or limitations of this warranty.

Wilsonart Flooring Estate Plus Limited Lifetime Warranty
- Residential
Wilsonart International, Inc. (Wilsonart) warrants to
the original homeowner that the Estate Plus laminate flooring shall,
under normal use and service for residential flooring applications:
- Not have visible wear through the decorative print,
- Not fade due to exposure to sun or electrical light,
- Not stain due to items listed in our care and maintenance
guide, and
- Will resist water damage from topical spills
for the lifetime that the original homeowner owns and
lives in the house in which the product is installed. THIS WARRANTY
IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.
Gloss reduction is not surface wear. Resists water damage
means that the Wilsonart® planks or tiles will not swell, delaminate
or peak at the seams provided water is promptly removed and the floor
is allowed to dry
Your Wilsonart® product must be installed
by a Wilsonart® authorized installer who has been trained by Wilsonart.
If the product has not been installed by a Wilsonart® authorized installer,
and the product does not perform as warranted, Wilsonart agrees to provide
material for one (1) repair or replacement of all or any part of the installation
at Wilsonart’s discretion, and labor costs will not be covered.
If the product is professionally installed by an authorized installer,
for the first year from the date of installation, Wilsonart will pay the
reasonable labor and material to repair the non-conforming area or replace
the floor at Wilsonart’s discretion. After the first year, this
warranty will be pro-rated on the basis of a twenty-five (25) year life
expectancy. For the balance of the warranty period, if a valid claim is
made after the first year, but prior to the completion of the twenty-fifth
(25th) year, Wilsonart will pay a percentage of the reasonable material
and labor costs for repair. This percentage will be based on the number
of years from the date of the original installation up to the twenty-fifth
(25th) year. For example, if the claim is made in the tenth year, Wilsonart
will pay sixty percent (60%) or 15/25 of the reasonable material and labor
costs of repair. Wilsonart will prorate the cost based on the twenty-fifth
(25th) year for the remaining years that the product is in your home.
If the original design is no longer available, Wilsonart
will replace the floor with another design of equal value during the first
year and a prorated portion of the costs of replacement from that point
on, up through the twenty-fifth (25th) year, in the same manner as described
above.
This warranty shall not apply to damage arising from any
of the following:
- Accidents, abuse or misuse
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Failure to install or use this product in accordance
with Wilsonart Flooring Installation instructions
- Improper maintenance
- Improper adhesive
- Flooding, either by natural cause, or plumbing failures
or appliances
- Trapped water underneath the Wilsonart floor arising
out of or in connection with any condition of the sub-floor
- Installation of product with visible manufacturing
defects
Further, this warranty shall be void and of no further

OR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.

Wilsonart® Flooring Classic and Estate Plus
Limited Warranty - Commercial
Effective January 1, 2003, Wilsonart Flooring (“Wilsonart”)
warrants for a period of five (5) years for Wilsonart® Classic and
for seven (7) years for Wilsonart® Estate Plus (excluding ceramic
and stone finish designs which are not recommended for commercial applications),
from the date of sale to the original purchaser for light to medium commercial,
non-industrial applications, its Classic and Estate Plus laminate flooring
products shall, under normal use and service:
- Not have visible wear through the decorative print
surface
- Not fade due to exposure to sun or electrical light,
- Not stain due to items listed in our care and maintenance
guide
Gloss reduction is not surface wear.
Your Wilsonart® product must be installed by a Wilsonart
authorized installer who has attended an approved Wilsonart Flooring installation
training program. If the product does not perform as warranted, Wilsonart
agrees that for the first year from the date of installation of the Wilsonart
Flooring, Wilsonart will pay the reasonable costs of labor and material
to repair the non-conforming area or replace the floor, at Wilsonart’s
discretion. After the first year, this warranty is pro-rated on the basis
of a five (5) year or seven (7) year life expectancy. If a valid claim
is made after the first year but prior to the completion of the fifth
(5th) or seventh (7th) year, Wilsonart will pay a percentage of the reasonable
material and labor costs for repair. This percentage will be based on
the number of years from the date of the original installation up to the
fifth or seventh year. For example, if the claim is made in the second
year of the five year warranty or fourth year of the seven year warranty,
Wilsonart will pay three-fifths or three-sevenths of the reasonable material
and labor costs of repair. If the original design is no longer available,
Wilsonart will replace the floor with another design of equal value during
the first year and based on the prorated portion of the costs of replacement
from that point on, up to the fifth (5th) or seventh (7th) year, in the
same manner as described above.
This warranty shall not apply to damage arising from any
of the following:
- Accidents, abuse or misuse
- Exposure to extreme temperatures
- Installation by an unauthorized installer
- Failure to install or use this product in accordance
with Wilsonart Flooring Installation instructions
- Improper maintenance
- Improper adhesive
- Heavy commercial applications
- Installation of product with visible manufacturing
defects
NO OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, ARE MADE,
INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE. UNDER NO
CIRCUMSTANCES SHALL WILSONART INTERNATIONAL, INC. BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS
OR DAMAGE ARISING FROM THE PURCHASE, USE OR INABILITY TO USE THIS PRODUCT,
OR FOR ANY SPECIAL, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES.
