Wilsonart® Classic Flooring with Tap-N-Lock™ Technology Limited Warranty - Residential

Effective June 15, 2002, Wilsonart International, Inc. (Wilsonart) warrants to the original homeowner that for a period of twenty (20) years from the date of sale to the original homeowner, the Classic laminate flooring shall, under normal use and service for residential flooring applications:

  • Not have visible wear through the decorative print,
  • Not fade due to exposure to sun or electrical light,
  • Not stain due to items listed in our care and maintenance guide, and
  • Will resist water damage from topical spills

Gloss reduction is not surface wear. Resists water damage means that the Wilsonart® planks or tiles will not swell, delaminate or peak at the seams provided water is promptly removed and the floor is allowed to dry.

For best results, your Wilsonart® product should be installed by a Wilsonart® authorized installer who has been trained by Wilsonart. If the product has not been installed by a Wilsonart® authorized installer, and the product does not perform as warranted, Wilsonart agrees to provide material for one (1) repair or replacement of all or any part of the installation at Wilsonart’s discretion, and labor costs will not be covered. If the product is professionally installed by an authorized installer, for the first year from the date of installation, Wilsonart will pay the reasonable labor and material to repair the non-conforming area or replace the floor at Wilsonart’s discretion. After the first year, this warranty will be pro-rated on the basis of a twenty (20) year life expectancy. For the balance of the warranty period, if a valid claim is made after the first year, but prior to the completion of the twentieth (20th) year, Wilsonart will pay a percentage of the reasonable material and labor costs for repair. This percentage will be based on the number of years from the date of the original installation up to the twentieth (20th) year. For example, if the claim is made in the tenth year, Wilsonart will pay fifty percent (50%) of the reasonable material and labor costs of repair. If the original design is no longer available, Wilsonart will replace the floor with another design of equal value during the first year and a prorated portion of the costs of replacement from that point on, up through the twentieth (20th) year, in the same manner as described above.
